February 21, 2023, Lincoln, NE. Recently, Chuck Schroeder introduced the newest member Steve England. Steve is not new to Rotary as he has been a Rotarian for over 40 years, transferring his Rotary membership from the Rotary Club of Kearney, where he served as President. Since 1983 Steve has owned the Investment Property Exchange, Inc., a client-based firm providing real estate problem-solving, brokerage services. Also owned the largest outstate farm, ranch, and commercial appraisal firm. IPEX Appraisal was sold to associates in 2014 but is still located in the same office as the real estate company. Steve has extensive experience in consulting, investing, and due diligence on all types of property, from Agriculture to Commercial, across the U. S. Welcome to your new Rotary home, Steve!

Two words! Just two! Two really important words for each Rotarian who finds joy as a member of Rotary Club 14 are LOCAL and INTERNATIONAL.
LOCAL, as in Rotary Club 14 Foundation and the support it receives from Club members' donations or its work to raise monies that will be designated to further the mission of providing civic and financial support for the Lincoln/Lancaster County, Nebraska community and beyond. Think Gathering Place, HopeSpoke, Dictionary project, Sunken Gardens Gazebo, Youth Exchange Program, TeamMates, Elliot School playground, Teacher's Fountain, and scholarships.
INTERNATIONAL, as in Rotary International Foundation and the support it receives from Rotary Club 14 members and club members worldwide to further its mission of funding extraordinary projects to teach literacy, provide clean water, or eradicate polio worldwide. Think about peacebuilding, disaster response grants in Ukraine, ShelterBox, polio eradication, and clean water.
Your decision to support Rotary locally and/or internationally is love or love, be it a noun or verb!!!
Last Week at Rotary, President John Gessert presided over the meeting, and Secretary Chris Whitney is back in person after his foot surgery. Joining live from Arizona was PDG John Pennypacker, who presented our newest member Christine Krueger as Paul Harris Fellow +7. Congratulations, and thank you to Christine Krueger, Chris Hove, Mary Buckley, and Linda Willard for their combined total donations to the Rotary International Foundation of $16,000.00. Last week, we welcomed transferring Rotarians Steve England from Kearney, introduced by Chuck Schroeder, and Chris Krueger from Arizona, introduced by President Pam Cohen of the Rotary Club of Mesa West, Arizona, via zoom.

On Saturday, October 29, Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln, Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and members of Lincoln Rotary Club 14, Lincoln Women of Today, Lincoln Quilting Guild and the REALTORS Association of Lincoln gathered to celebrate Martha's home dedication.
