The Lincoln Rotary 14 Foundation is seeking nominations to the Foundation Board of Directors. Any member of Rotary Club 14 in good standing is eligible for consideration but preference will be given to those who have served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Club and who have made contributions to the Foundation. Extra consideration will also be given to those with extensive background in Rotary 14 leadership activities such as being a past Club president or district governor. If you are interested in serving on the Foundation Board or if you would like to nominate someone else to serve, please contact Susan Stibal or Mike Wortman.
The Dictionary Project is a long-standing Rotary tradition and a collaboration between three Lincoln Rotary clubs to provide a dictionary to every third grade student in the city of Lincoln (both public & private schools).
If you're new, this is a gathering of volunteers from 3 Lincoln Rotary clubs to place Rotary labels in the front inside cover of almost 4,000 dictionaries. Then we box them up in the quantities needed for each school. Come hungry, as pizza will be provided! Here are the details for the party:

Between February 18 and March 7, we need volunteers to deliver dictionaries to third grade classrooms. There is not a specific date for delivery, but a timeframe during which volunteers contact the school and set up a date and time. The schools on the signup are the ones that Rotary 14 is assigned. Other schools are assigned to the other Rotary clubs.
Rotary 14 Seeks Nominations for Nebraskan of the Year!
Since 1988, we have been honoring Nebraskans who have distinguished themselves through the ideals of Rotary. These Nebraskans have shown honesty, integrity and concern for others through leadership and significant contributions to their profession and their communities.
This award is open to ALL Nebraskans except elected officials currently in office. Nominees do NOT have to be a Rotarian.
At our last meeting Secretary Lisa Lee mentioned that Robin Bates, wife of long-time Rotary 14 member Rod Bates, reached out the Club. She explained that Rod was having a hard time recently and could use some friends checking in on him. District 5300, which encompasses regions of Southern California and Southern Nevada, has established a dedicated Relief Fund aimed at providing assistance to the victims affected by the recent devastating wildfires in California. This relief effort is being systematically overseen by the Rotary District 5300 Foundation, an organization committed to fostering community support and recovery initiatives. In the coming days, the Rotary District 5300 Foundation will convene a meeting to thoroughly discuss and strategize the most effective and impactful ways to allocate these crucial funds, ensuring that aid reaches those in need as swiftly and efficiently as possible.
