Dictionary Project
The Dictionary Project is a long-standing Rotary tradition and a collaboration between three Lincoln Rotary clubs to provide a dictionary to every third grade student in the city of Lincoln (both public & private schools).

If you're new, this is a gathering of volunteers from 3 Lincoln Rotary clubs to place Rotary labels in the front inside cover of almost 4,000 dictionaries. Then we box them up in the quantities needed for each school. Come hungry, as pizza will be provided! Here are the details for the party:

Monday, February 17 at 5:30 p.m. until done
Holy Trinity Church, 6001 A Street (east entrance)
Sign up for the labeling party here:

Between February 18 and March 7, we need volunteers to deliver dictionaries to third grade classrooms. There is not a specific date for delivery, but a timeframe during which volunteers contact the school and set up a date and time. The schools on the signup are the ones that Rotary 14 is assigned. Other schools are assigned to the other Rotary clubs.

The Pats' Prairie Walk for Polio

The Pats' Prairie Walk for Polio
Saturday, March 22, 2025, 2-4pm
Location: Pat Leach and Bill Oberg's home and prairie (just northwest of Air Park), map will be sent to registrants
Cost: $50/person donation. Checks can be made out to "Polio Plus" and turned in at the event.

Pat Birch and Pat Leach invite Rotarians to join them for a prairie walk to support Rotary’s Global Polio Eradication Initiative, and to celebrate the start of spring when the prairie starts to awaken (but hasn’t yet). Join us at the earth-shelter home of Pat Leach and Bill Oberg for short-and-easy walks through the prairie at their place just northwest of Lincoln. To sweeten the deal, Pat and Pat will provide home-baked cookies and coffee. Come to walk in nature or just enjoy the view and the cookies. Further details will be sent following registration.

Looking for Volunteers: Rotary 14 Strategic Planning

We're looking for members who are interested in participating in a Strategic Planning Session for our Club on Saturday, March 29.

This is a chance to make a lasting impact, collaborate with fellow members, and ensure our club continues to thrive and serve our community in meaningful ways. We are looking for a balance of long-time and newer members.

Interested? Contact President Erin Dobesh.
