Seeking Board of Director Nominations
The Lincoln Rotary 14 Foundation is seeking nominations to the Foundation Board of Directors. Any member of Rotary Club 14 in good standing is eligible for consideration but preference will be given to those who have served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Club and who have made contributions to the Foundation. Extra consideration will also be given to those with extensive background in Rotary 14 leadership activities such as being a past Club president or district governor. If you are interested in serving on the Foundation Board or if you would like to nominate someone else to serve, please contact Mike Wortman or Susan Stibal.
Convention Center Information Forum
Monday, February 19, you’re invited to join fellow Rotarians and citizens of Lincoln for an information forum providing background and current updates related to the convention center for Lincoln project. At this event, Rotary 14 will be recognized for our role in helping get the convention center project going and assisting with the feasibility and in-depth potential use studies. These studies helped convince members of the Unicameral that there was a real need for a convention center in Lincoln and that it would be kept busy with events attracting people to Lincoln.

It was over 3 years ago that the Rotary WOW Committee recommended that our club engage the community in talking about a convention center. It was just a year ago that the Unicameral passed its measure. It was last September that Lancaster County agreed to be the government agency to manage the funding from the Unicameral. And it was just a few weeks ago that an official Request for Proposals seeking a location was issued.

Plan now to attend this event and help celebrate what our club helped get started.
