On November 7, Rotary 14 will celebrate Veterans Day at the Talon Room. Hosted by Club member and Veteran Chris Hove, the event will have special musical guests, a “Veterans Day Roll Call,” and a Veterans Day presentation by a special Veterans Day speaker. Please invite a Veteran to celebrate the day with our Club 14 Vets, members, and guests!
Every December, Rotarians volunteer to ring bells on behalf of the Salvation Army. Rotary 14 commits to a full day of bell-ringing, but each Rotarian is asked to give just one hour on a given Saturday to share in the spirit of the holidays and give back to the Lincoln community. This year, Rotary 14 is ringing bells between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at various sites across Lincoln on Saturday, December 2.

Congratulations, Ava McCoy, recipient of the Rotary 14 High School Student Leadership Award at Pius X High School. Ava joined Rotary 14 on Tuesday, October 24 to accept this honor.
Every year, Rotary 14 invites a student from each local high school to present information to the club membership regarding the importance of community service at their school. To share the Rotary mission with area high school students and create an interest in the ideals of service. Committee members work with school administrators to identify a student leader to accept the award and work with those students to create a short presentation to be given at a regular club meeting.
These same students are encouraged to participate in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards seminar held by Rotary District 5650 each spring. They are also made aware of the Club’s High School Scholarship criteria and encouraged to apply, if appropriate.
Rotary 14 has recently had multiple Chair and Vice Chair positions vacated, and we need YOUR HELP to carry on the important work of these positions.
