Miki Esposito, Sr. Policy Advisor, City of Lincoln
Miki works for the City of Lincoln, Nebraska as the Senior Policy Advisor to Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird. With eleven years-experience serving in executive leadership and senior management roles, her eighteen-year career is highlighted by extensive government experience at the local, state, and federal level that includes public administration, legislative affairs, regulatory compliance, emergency response, strategic planning, finance, and budget formulation, communications, public relations, and media management as well as program and project delivery.
Miki has special expertise in natural resources and environmental law and policy, with a Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Baker University in Kansas. She was selected in November 2020 to lead the Mayor’s Resilient Lincoln initiative which focuses on the adoption and implementation of the city’s Climate Action Plan.

Program Host Lisa Lee introduced our Rotarian Kate Engel with Nebraska Innovation Campus. Reminder to register for Rise Shine Give virtual brunch event on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Funds raised will help support The Gathering Place’s HVAC replacement and our club foundation. Other ways to support our community: Donate to the District’s Virtual Food Drive (funds donated from Lincoln clubs will be sent to the Food Bank of Lincoln) – the deadline is the end of the month, sign up to be a mentor – contact Jim Bennett for more information. Please keep Dave Livingston and his family in your thoughts. His younger sister, Carolyn Livingston Brown, passed away in Sacramento, California.
