Dr. Chris Haeffner is the Director of Library Services for Lincoln Public Schools (LPS), a role she has held since joining the district in 1996, and she also serves as a key administrator for Educational Service Unit (ESU) 18, where she oversees digital and physical resources for one of Nebraska's largest school districts. A passionate advocate for literacy and digital citizenship, she has spearheaded district-wide curricula that teach students how to navigate the internet safely and ethically, while also curating the MOSAIC Collection to ensure diverse literature reflects the experiences of all students. Her forward-thinking leadership has driven the transformation of traditional school libraries into dynamic, technology-rich Learning Commons that better serve the evolving needs of students and educators.
