A new look for Elliott School
Elliott school was built in central Lincoln in the 1920’s. At one time, the school served as an attractive entrance to Antelope Park. Over the years the Antelope valley changed and Elliott School lost its strategic position as the entry to one of Lincoln’s beautiful parks. With the restoration of the Antelope Valley, Rotary 14, Lincoln’s oldest and largest service club is leading the way to help make Elliott School an attractive icon of our great schools and an inviting place for all of Lincoln. Elliott now serves a very diverse population of students coming from families from dozens of countries who have chosen Lincoln as their home. A gift from Rotary 14 as part of the centennial celebration of the club will help turn what is now a gravel covered playground into an attractive and inviting grassy area with a playground, walking trails, a community gathering place, and even an area to host festivals. This will take advantage of Elliott School’s strategic location near the center of Lincoln’s interconnected green spaces consisting of trails and parks that run from Pine Lake Road on the south to Salt Creek on the north.
