Proposing a New Member

Rotary Club #14 welcomes new members through a process that begins with a nomination by one of our active club members. Rotary International outlines the qualifications for membership that we follow. A club shall be composed of active members who are adult persons of good character and good business and professional reputation. Typically, you are a person who is in management or a position of authority and has demonstrated a variety of community interests. Retired individuals are also welcome to join Rotary.

There are two kinds of membership in Rotary: Active and Honorary. Honorary guidelines appear in the Membership Directory.

Every member of Rotary Club #14 was invited into membership by another Rotarian. Every member should do the same for someone else.

  1. Complete and submit the Membership Proposal Form.

  2. Membership nominations will be reviewed by the Membership Review/Classification Committee.

  3. Review of the nomination by the Rotary Club #14 Board.

  4. Invitation letter from Rotary Club #14 President is sent to the prospective member.

  5. The nominee will complete a membership application and submit dues.

  6. First and second reading of the nomination will be presented to the club.

  7. Welcome and introduction of the new member at a regular club meeting.

  8. Coordinate initial involvement in the club’s NEOS meetings and involvement in club activities to transition from Red Badge to Blue Badge status.
