Description: Our Lincoln Rotary Club #14 Foundation is celebrating 15 years of success this year. Founded in February of 1997, your club foundation has grown from just over $7,000 in its first few months of operation to well over $1 Million today. In addition our Rotary Club #14 Foundation has awarded more than $600,000 in grants and scholarships over its 15-year history.
The growth of our foundation is based on three key areas: the annual auction, personal pledges and investment income. Lincoln Rotary Club #14 Foundation President, Mike Zeleny, will update us on activities of the foundation as well as provide a status report on future projects and the Vision 2020 program. Lincoln Children’s Zoo Executive Director, John Chapo, will join Mike for the presentation and update us on how the zoo will use their portion of the 2011 auction proceeds.
